These cell culture products feature a novel polymer modification that enhances the adhesion and improves the cultivation of fastidious cells like primary or sensitive cells as well as cells cultivated under restricted growth conditions (serum-free or serum-reduced). Furthermore, the Advanced TC surface facilitates consistent and homogenous cell attachment increasing the overall cell yield and reducing cell loss, for example during automated washing steps.

CELLCOAT

These cell culture vessels are coated with proteins of the extracellular matrix (Collagen Type I, Fibronectin, Laminin) or synthetic proteins (Poly-D- and Poly-L-Lysine) that are known to improve adhesion and proliferation of primary cells and various cell lines, but also make these vessels highly suitable for serum-free and serum-reduced cell cultivation and experiments which include additional washing steps or stressful procedures, e.g. transfection.

CELLSTAR Cell-Repellent Surface

In contrast to standard tissue culture surfaces which are optimised to enhance conditions for cell attachment, the cell-repellent surface has been developed to effectively prevent cell attachment. CELLSTAR cell culture vessels with a cell-repellent surface reliably prevent cell attachment in suspension cultures of semiadherent and adherent cell lines where standard hydrophobic surfaces generally used for suspension culture are insufficient.
